Triangle Tigers Awarded Capstone Status

The Mizzou Triangle Tigers (MTT) chapter, serving the greater Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area, has been awarded Capstone status by the Mizzou Alumni Association (MAA), the highest level a chapter can achieve.

Truman and MAA president-elect Andrea Allison-Putman give Mizzou Triangle Tigers President Tim McKay the Capstone Chapter designation during Alumni Leadership weekend at Mizzou, Sept 22, 2017.

The Capstone status allows chapters to maintain an established fund to reward high achieving area students with scholarship support when they become Tigers.

Obtaining Capstone status requires a number of steps to be taken by the chapter, including attending leadership training in Columbia, hosting a variety of events, adding new members, and much more.

MTT 2017-18 President Tim McKay attended the Alumni Leadership Weekend at the University of Missouri-Columbia campus on Sept. 22-23, 2017. Leaders from Mizzou alumni chapters came together to learn, share, and work towards the greater good of MAA.  Each chapter sent representatives to attend.

Tim was presented the Capstone Chapter designation by MAA president-elect Andrea Allison-Putman and Truman, the Mizzou mascot.
