Congratulations, Triangle Tigers! In our first year of being a full-fledged Mizzou Alumni Chapter, we’ve achieved Capstone Status with the Mizzou Alumni Association. This is quite an achievement in a very short time frame. Jill Hammergren traveled back to Columbia in September, 2015 for an Alumni Leaders Weekend Training Event and accepted the recognition.
Here’s a recap of our accomplishments in the 2014-15 year:
Launched Mizzou Triangle Tigers Alumni Chapter, August 2014.
Had a successful chapter kickoff event in October 2014. 50+ people attended!
Gathered candy and sent care packages to military serving around the world as part of Operation Gratitude.
Hosted a special dinner for 12 Mizzou Students, who were part of the Mizzou Alternative Breaks program. They were in the area serving special needs children over their Holiday break.
Cheered on the Mizzou Softball Team when it was in town for a tournament at NC State University in Spring 2015. Watch the big win for Mizzou 13-3!
Had a joint watch party with the Tennessee Alumni Chapter for a Mizzou Basketball game.
Held a Mizzou Triangle Tigers Pig Pickin’ and Student Send-off Event in May 2015. 60+ people attended that event at Historic Oak View County Park in Raleigh.
